Cloud and DevOps Release Manager

If you could create the best digital bank in Australia, what would it look like? How would it make life easier? And what would you do to create a 6-star customer experience?

We're wondering the same thing.

**We're building something new**

We're building the new AMP Bank: a fully digital bank with new products, delivered via a mobile app with killer features, to make banking easy for everyday Australians and small businesses. No paperwork. No red tape. No complicated processes or confusing financial chat. Just simple, smart banking; a tap away. The way banking should be.

We've got the tech. We've got the approach. We just need the team to help us take AMP Bank to market in early 2025 and make it the best digital banking experience Australia's ever seen.

**We need industry stirrer-uppers**

You know: non-conformers. Those who are compelled to do something different. Who care enough about the customer to ask the big questions no one else will. Who want to know what if. What if we tweaked this, or toggled that. You zig when everyone else zags, disagree without being disagreeable, and love the rush of starting something new.

**Specifically, Release and Change Manager not boxed in by job title**

As our Release and Change Manager, you'll be instrumental in seamlessly delivering our cutting-edge digital banking solutions. You'll define and champion the release and change management processes that make our AWS environment hum, aligning them with best practices and our division's unique capabilities. From planning and scheduling to coordinating and communicating, you'll be the conductor of our release activities, ensuring cross-team harmony.

Collaboration will be key as you work hand-in-hand with service owners, third-party teams and our broader IT crew, ensuring all changes are thoroughly tested, documented and compliant with security and regulatory requirements. You'll be the gatekeeper, managing risk and evaluating the impact of every change, giving the green light only when it's ready for prime time.

Post-implementation, your keen eye for improvement will kick in, evaluating success, identifying areas for optimisation and implementing corrective actions to keep us at the forefront of innovation. Communication is key, keeping stakeholders informed on project plans, commitments, changes, and quality assurance initiatives.

You'll be the master of our DevOps release pipelines, leveraging automation to streamline deployments and stay ahead of the curve with the latest AWS features and best practices. Coordinating with external vendors and service providers will be second nature, ensuring our releases are executed with precision and grace. With your leadership, our release and change processes will be a well-oiled machine, delivering exceptional digital experiences that delight our customers and solidify our position as a banking disruptor extraordinaire.

**What matters**

Your success will be measured by the flawless execution of our release and change processes, delivering new features and enhancements to market without a hitch.

DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines and implementing cutting-edge DevOps practices will be second nature to you. Familiarity with IT change management frameworks and scripting languages like Python will enable you to streamline and automate our processes. A solid foundation in software development, Agile methodologies and relevant certifications like AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or ITIL will further amplify your impact.

With strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences, you'll unite cross-functional teams and navigate the complexities of our dynamic environment. An inquisitive mindset, keen eye for detail and the courage to challenge the status quo will drive continuous improvement. Your analytical mindset, combined with the ability to make informed decisions amid ambiguity, will be instrumental in navigating the challenges that come with building a disruptive digital bank from the ground up.
- Starting with the customer in mind
- Being curious, always asking why, what and how
- Playing as one team, making the Bank's goals our own.

**What doesn't matter**

You don't have to be from the finance world, as long as you're tech-minded and obsessed with creating 6-star customer experiences.

**Imagine the lovechild of a fintech startup and a big four**

Agile and hands on meets established and fully resourced. That's kind of who AMP Bank is.

We're setting up a whole new, digital business, building solutions our customers have asked for, and shaping how that business runs. Only we're doing it with the backing of a tech platform that works (the same tech that fuelled Starling Bank's success in the UK) and the financial muscle of AMP's 170-year heritage.

**Take that. Add you. Shape who we become.**

Right now, we're taking the best of AMP's current culture, borrowing from successful neobank cu
