**Position Title**: Ward Clerk (AO3) - Custodial Mental Health - PFT - Long Bay Hospital - Mental Health Unit

Then you could be the perfect Ward Clerk for our Hospital. Specifically, we’re looking for a people person. Someone with experience in providing high-level administrative and clerical support. An administrative professional that holds or is willing to undertake a Certificate III in Health Administration or its equivalent. Importantly, if you are an overseas resident with a temporary visa, please apply. This position will be open to you if no suitable Australian permanent resident or citizen is identified.

Here at Justice Health & Forensic Mental Health Network, the Ward Clerk role provides clerical and administrative support to clinical operations and clinical staff under the direction and supervision of the Nursing Unit Manager (NUM). The role includes a high level of diligence and accuracy with the handling of information including filing, assembly, retrieval, culling and tracking of medical records. The role and responsibilities are to be carried out in a manner that is consistent with Network delegations, policies, procedures and operations systems, and in line with both the NSW Health and Network Codes of Conduct.

- Hold or is willing to undertake a Certificate III in Health Administration.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and demonstrated previous experience in administrative and health records management in a hospital or health care setting.

- Demonstrated capacity to work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in a high pressure, high volume work environment.
