**The Opportunity**:
The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is recruiting for a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of a Parliamentary Executive Level 1 Assistant Director, Security Delivery and Capability, within the Security Operations Support Section, Security Operations Branch.
The Assistant Director, Security Delivery and Capability will play a key role in the design, coordination and delivery of Security Operations Branch activities associated with recruitment, training and workforce development. The position holder will be required to demonstrate sound judgement and the ability to establish and enhance stakeholder relationships to deliver innovative initiatives, cultivating a highly professionalised customer focused security culture.
**Who we are looking for**:
In this role you will manage a team to build and deliver a comprehensive security capability program to support the needs of Australian Parliament House. This program will include all aspects of recruitment, training and onboarding of security personnel. It will also include ensuring that a fit for purpose ongoing compliance, accreditation and development strategy is formulated and delivered across the Branch to ensure that DPS maintains a highly professionalised security workforce.
As the Assistant Director, Security Delivery and Capability you will also be required to work across teams to support and facilitate other aspects of the Security Operations Support Section and the Security Operations Branch.
**Job Specific Requirements**
- The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 (Confidential/Highly Protected/Secret) security clearance.

Under limited direction undertake duties in accordance with the agreed standards for Parliamentary Executive Level 1. The duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Manage teams responsible for the development and delivery of operational training specifically for Security Operations at Australian Parliament House (APH).
- Forecast and plan for future capability and training needs, balancing resource allocation between future requirements and maintenance of existing capability.
- Manage training records, collect and utilise data to inform future training needs. Manage ongoing qualification compliance requirements and utilise data to inform scheduling, resource allocation, and enhancements to training products.
- Oversee the development, procurement and delivery of training programs in line with identified capability and workforce development requirements.
- Develop and mentor your teams to enable them to deliver high quality learning and development programs that help build and maintain a collaborative and high-performance customer focused security culture.
- Collaborate with internal DPS stakeholders and external stakeholders like the Australian Federal Police (AFP) to identify and develop joint training solutions to meet the current and future requirements of APH.
- Manage the Parliamentary Security Service workforce delivery cycle including workforce analysis and planning, targeted advertising, recruitment activities, initial qualification training, onboarding and all associated administrative processes.
- Employees of DPS are required to be able, and to be seen to be able, to provide professional advice and services to all Senators and Members without favour or prejudice._
