Casual
- 6 months experience working within the Aged Care sector or Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support is desirable.
- A desire to help the elderly, some of the most vulnerable and deserving people in our community, to live independently.
- Good communication skills. Ability to build relationships with clients whilst maintaining professional boundaries.
- Mobile phone with Data supplied. Roster provided via our Client Management System App.
- Current Australian Drivers Licence, with a reliable registered car and insurance needed as driving is part of this role.
- Regular work hours to suit your availability. Currently Monday-Friday 7.30am-5pm services available.
- Paid travel time and paid kilometres.
- Uniform supplied.
- NFP with Salary Packaging options via MAXXIA.
Day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
- Travelling within a region visiting multiple clients in a day. Driving your own vehicle.
- Delivery of services as per the Client's Care Plans. Types of services include Transport, Personal Care, Domestic Assistance, Social Support, Respite, Shopping & Meal Prep.
- Regular contact with the client's Services Advisors and/or Co Ordinator's and the rest of the Home Care Team.
- Using the mobile phone app for rosters, service information & sending in client feedback.
- Identifying and reporting Hazards & Incidents.
- Respecting client confidentiality and privacy at all times. Maintaining professional boundaries. Displaying Southern Cross Care's Heart Values.
