Passionate about aged care? Play a critical role in the growth of our aged care portfolios in this newly created strategic Head of Care position.

We have a newly created Head of Care position with responsibility for the overall operational and strategic direction for our Residential Care, Retirement Living and Home Care businesses. Your role will focus on strategically growing the business whilst ensuring the provision of quality care to our Residents and Clients, and a safe and productive working environment for our staff.

**Key Result Areas**

**Leadership**:Facilitate the effective management of Residential, Retirement Living and Home Care functions.

**Operational**:Lead and oversee the development and implementation of the SCC long and short-term plans in accordance with the strategy.

**Strategic Planning**: Provide strategic direction and leads, manages, and directs all care streams with a focus on growth.

**Staff Management**: Establish and maintain an appropriate organisation structure with competent, qualified and trained staff.

**Financial and Administrative**:Actively lead the budget process for all care streams in accordance with SCC business objectives and timing expectations.

**Quality and Governance**:Assess and ensure risks are monitored and managed and effective controls and systems are in place.

**Stakeholder relationships**:This position is required to liaise and collaborate with all relevant stakeholders, both internal and external to ensure effective and efficient workflow.

**Work Health and Safety (WHS)**:This position is required to comply with and contribute to Work Health and Safety policies and procedures.

**Main accountabilities include**:

- Overall accountability for the day-to-day profitability, presentation, and operation of Residential Care, Retirement Living and Home Care businesses
- Responsible for making strategic decisions to grow the business within all 3 streams
- Leadership and supervision of the operations team, ensuring the team deliver exceptional experiences at every stage of our Resident / Client’s journey
- Promote a healthy working environment for the team that is results focused, enjoyable, educational, and respectful
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation

With strong leadership capabilities and the ability to lead and mentor a team whilst driving continuous quality improvement, you bring current knowledge of the legislative and compliance framework for residential aged care services, retirement living and home care services.

**To be considered for the role you will have**:

- Extensive senior managerial experience in the delivery of residential aged care services is essential
- You are a strategic, contemporary, and transformative leader who can contribute to the overall leadership of the organisation
- Experience managing across multiple sites with large multidisciplinary teams
- Self-starter who is highly motivated & confident working autonomously
- Hands-on and solution focussed attitude
- Commitment to the health and wellbeing of Senior Australians
- Experience in leading successful change and developing contemporary models of service delivery particularly in regional Australia
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise professionally with all stakeholders
