**The Role**
An APS6 Administration Officer in TCS is accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex procedural, operational, administrative and business support work within an integrated workforce. They are accountable to ensure they have knowledge of and comply with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements. The APS6 Administration Officer will lead a team. They will manage the output, quality, performance and development of the team and be accountable for setting the teamwork priorities. They will exercise the associated people and financial responsibilities to achieve work unit outcomes.

**About our Team**
The Directorate of Transition Coaching and Support (TCS) sits within Defence Member and Family Support Branch and provides national support through a broad range of programs to ADF members and their families transitioning to civilian life. Transition Coaches and our external service provider deliver a wide range of support services and programs to ADF members and their families.

These include but are not limited to vocational training, career coaching, workplace mentoring, job search preparation, seminars and forums. TCS is seeking multiple high performing Team Leads at the APS 6 level to join our Seminar, Transition National Support and Defence Force Transition Program teams.
- Highly developed strong leadership and management skills in order to ensure the team delivers high quality output and performance
- Demonstrated strong ability to coordinate and undertake an extensive broad range of internal and external business stakeholder engagement
- Highly developed business acumen that demonstrates sound judgement, common sense, understanding that aligns with and supports wider business strategic direction
- Sound knowledge of veterans including an understanding of the challenges veterans face when transitioning from ADF military service back into civilian life.
