**The Department**

At the heart of SBS, Audio and Language Content have over 60 language teams engaging audiences in conversations on Australian and international news and current affairs, and connecting communities through stories and providing settlement information. We deliver services across radio, podcasting, online and social media. Three digital music stations showcase the best of global chill, East Asian and Desi pop music. Supporting our content makers are dedicated Activations, Business Affairs, Content, Online, Resources and Training teams

**The Role**

The Tetum Content Producer is responsible for the production and delivery of distinctive and innovative multi-platform content (podcasts and articles) for the relevant language service. The content will be consistent with SBS Codes of Practice, Editorial Guidelines, established editorial strategy and other relevant standards and formats.

Reporting into the Program Manager within our Audio and Language Content team this role will see you but not limited to:
This role can be based out of North Sydney or Melbourne.
- Undertaking and assisting with a range of journalism and content production tasks to provide multi-platform content
- Establishing, developing and maintaining appropriate contact with correspondents (stringers and contributors) and other relevant stakeholders.
- Contributing to divisional objectives through participation in cross-language content and other initiatives.
- Creating audio podcasts (including recording interviews and features). Use relevant production
- Using systems and equipment to edit and publish content to SBS and third-party platforms.
- Ensuring all relevant content scheduled is published as required, including promos, advertising and information campaigns and/or sponsorship announcements in accordance with the SBS Codes of Practice and Editorial Guidelines and other relevant policies.

**About you**
- Demonstrated experience in professional broadcast journalism including:

- Ability to undertake tasks involved in the planning, preparation, production, presentation and delivery of multiplatform content.
- Ability to write, compile and present news, sport and current affairs from a variety of sources.
- Availability for and ability to work rostered shifts.
- Proficiency in English and in Tetum both written and spoken including clear broadcast delivery.
