**About Horizon Solsolutions Australia Pty Ltd (Cocoon SDA Care)**

**Cocoon SDA Care** is a fast-growing, innovative, and dynamic organisation. We are seeking Casual Disability Support Workers who seek a role that is committed to your training and growth. We are seeking experienced staff who will assist in supporting participants with high complex behaviour and high-level medical needs. You will work in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) or SDA to provide people with high complex support needs an opportunity to live in an environment that supports and maximises personal growth and independence.

**About you**
- Must have experience supporting participants who has epilepsy.
- Experience with High Challenging Behaviours.
- Understanding of Restrictive Practices and how to follow a Behaviour Support Plan.
- Musts have experience with complex behavior such as physical and verbal aggression.
- Experience with Participants diagnosed with Autism and Non-Verbal
- Experience with Personal Care
- Must be available for sleep over shifts.
- At least 1 year as a DSW in NDIS sector
- Must have current CPR and First Aid and practice.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide support to participants with high Physical and Challenging Behaviors
- Provide personal care to persons with disability.
- Maintain all written correspondence and reports up to date within required standards.
- Execute as instructed designated tasks and activities aimed at meeting the client’s personal needs/community support/empowerment, team objectives and/or program goals.
- Fulfil designated duties/tasks as instructed by the employer when requested/required. This includes working across all client groups when and if required.
- Participate in regular team meetings.
- Carry out duties/activities in a cooperative manner.

**Mandatory requirement**
- Certificate III in Disability, or Individual Support or equivalent
- First Aid, CPR, Manual Handling, and Medication Administration training or willing to obtain.
- Current Driver’s License (mandatory).

**Please note that the successful applicant will be required to hold or be willing to obtain a National Disability Insurance Scheme NDIS Worker Screening check and a Working with Children Check.**
