**About the role**

The Manager, Market Analysis role will assist in providing qualitative and quantitative analysis of natural gas, coal, oil and LPG markets and assist in determining the impact on Origin’s contract and asset portfolios. The role will actively develop and maintain data systems to support the team’s analytic, modelling and reporting framework.

**Responsibilities & Duties**
- Understand the fundamental drivers of commodity markets, i.e. demand, supply, geopolitical factors and prices
- International oil markets
- International gas and LNG markets
- Interpret and provide regular updates on how movements in global commodity prices affects both Origin's domestic and international businesses.
- Research, source and store data and information relevant to the analyses and monitoring of commodity markets.
- Advise and assist with the design of ad hoc and regular reports utilising Origin’s reporting systems and tools (Python, Tableau, Amazon Aurora & Excel).

**About you**
- Significant commercial experience analysing global commodity markets.
- Self motivated and have a desire to keep abreast of news, events and activities in global commodity markets.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a quantitative discipline (e.g. mathematics, commerce, economics, engineering)
- Ability to clearly communicate and comment upon market events and complex issues.
