**Due to the nature of the needs of the client, it is a requirement of the job for the worker to be female.**

**The client**
Our client is a 9-year-old female living in the Northern suburbs who is actively supported 24/7 with Department of Child Protection (DCP) supports. She is a very active young girl who loves exploring, playing outside and imaginative play. She responds well to predictable routines and regular and consistent staff, so staff members who are willing to make long-term commitments to her support would be highly regarded.

**There is 1 permanent part-time position available with 30 hours per fortnight according to the following working pattern and 2 casual positions.**

**Monday from 06.00-09.30 | 3.5 hrs.**

**Wednesday from 06.00 - 09.30 | 3.5 hrs.**

**Thursday from 22.30 - 08.00 | 9.5 hrs.**

**Friday from 22.30 - 06.15 | 7.75 hrs.**

**Sunday from 14.30 - 22.45 | 8.25 hrs.**

**What you need to succeed**:

- Be a passionate, reliable, and dedicated support worker who is looking to grow and further develop your skills
- Strong ability to work collaboratively with others to ensure a consistent approach to enable clients to reach their goals.
- Experience in working with behaviours of concern and implementing Positive Behaviour Support strategies and plans.
- Knowledge of the autism spectrum and effective strategies for support.
- Experience working with Allied Health teams
- Experience supporting clients in their homes and the community
- Experience supporting young people to develop independent living skills
- Familiarity with Active Support principles Experience or knowledge of alternative communication methods

**Essential requirements**:

- A minimum Certificate IV in Disability or Youth Work, relevant industry/personal experience will also be considered
- National Police Clearance within the last 3 months
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and DHS Working with Children Check
- All mandated doses of COVID-19 vaccinations
- Full Australian Drivers Licence
- DCP Psychological Assessment (successful applicants will be supported with this process)
- Completion of NDIS worker orientation module
- Senior First Aid training
- Child Safe Environment training
- Assist with Medication training
