Your Opportunity
As a Clinical Facilitator you will assist Vocational Placement Officers in the supervision, support and assessment of student's on clinical placement, ensuring all aspects of student training, assessment and current learning requirements are met.
You will ensure the provision of quality nurse education and the development of clinical skills, knowledge and experience of student nurses in various health facilities on various shifts. You may be required to support theoretical learning through practical sessions in the nursing simulation laboratory.
This position reports to the Operations Manager, Vocational Placement.

Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the established values of Safety First, Working Together, Focussing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility and Showing Initiative.
- Live a safety culture, lead by example and support the Health Safety and Environment Management System to create a TAFE Queensland Brisbane-wide safety culture.
- Supervise directly and indirectly student's clinical practice and provide a range of work, training and assessment opportunities to meet the vocational placement requirements.
- Liaise with clinical placement providers and facility staff to ensure appropriate experience for students.
- Liaise with TAFE Queensland, Brisbane Vocational Placement Team about student issues.
- Mentor students through there clinical placements, give feedback and be innovative with assisting students to meet their learning goals.
- Under the supervision of the Vocational Placement Team assess students competence against the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia; Standards for Enrolled Nurses through their performance on clinical placement.
- Maintain TAFE Queensland, Brisbane records of student's clinical placement including the vocational placement logbook, timesheets and learning contract to meet contractual and audit requirements.
- Orientate students to the clinical placement facility (resources, workplace health and safety issues), conduct student debriefs and gain feedback student and facility feedback.
- Contribute to TAFE Queensland, Brisbane Nursing quality improvement process by contributing valuable industry feedback and current industry practices.
- Support the nursing team in the nursing simulation laboratory, using a variety of learning styles to conduct practical sessions.

Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements
- Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Bachelor of Nursing qualification
- Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience
- Possession of one of the following training and assessment credentials:

- TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
- TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools;
- TAE50111 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training;
- TAE50116 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or its successor;
- TAE50211 - Diploma of Training Design and Development;
- TAE50216 - Diploma of Training Design and Development, or its successor;
- Higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland).
- Experience as a clinical facilitator
