About Us

Tell A Bird Support Services is a registered NDIS provider dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centred support. We are seeking a casual male Disability Support Worker to provide community access and daily living support to a male client in the Strathpine area.About the RoleThis role involves supporting a client with an intellectual disability to access the community and participate in meaningful activities.

Duties include:

- Accompanying the client to activities such as bowling and local outings
- Going on drives and supporting his interest in cars
- Assisting with errands and community participation
- Providing companionship and encouragement in line with client goals

Work Days:

- Tuesday
- Thursday
- Saturday

RequirementsTo be considered for this role,

applicants must hold the following:

- NDIS Worker Screening Check (current and valid) and NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Working With Children Check (Blue Card or equivalent)
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Manual Handling Training (preferred)
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable, insured vehicle
- COVID-19 Vaccination evidence About You
- Male support worker (requirement of the client)
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independentl
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport
- Previous experience in disability support or community services

Desirable Pay Rate

This position is paid under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services (SCHADS) Award 2010 - Level 2, casual rates:

- Weekdays: approx. $40 - $43 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading)
- Saturdays: approx. $50 - $54 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading)(Final rate dependent on experience and qualifications)
