About Us

Tell A Bird Support Services is a registered NDIS provider dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centred support. We are seeking a casual male Disability Support Worker to provide community access and daily living support to a male client in the Strathpine area.About the RoleThis role involves supporting a client with an intellectual disability to access the community and participate in meaningful activities.

Duties include:

  • Accompanying the client to activities such as bowling and local outings

  • Going on drives and supporting his interest in cars

  • Assisting with errands and community participation

  • Providing companionship and encouragement in line with client goals

Work Days:

  • Tuesday

  • Thursday

  • Saturday

RequirementsTo be considered for this role,

applicants must hold the following:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (current and valid) and NDIS Worker Orientation Module

  • Working With Children Check (Blue Card or equivalent)

  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate

  • Manual Handling Training (preferred)

  • Current Australian Driver's Licence and reliable, insured vehicle

  • COVID-19 Vaccination evidence About You

  • Male support worker (requirement of the client)

  • Reliable, professional, and able to work independentl

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport

  • Previous experience in disability support or community services

Desirable Pay Rate

This position is paid under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services (SCHADS) Award 2010 – Level 2, casual rates:

  • Weekdays: approx. $40 – $43 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading)

  • Saturdays: approx. $50 – $54 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading)(Final rate dependent on experience and qualifications)
