As our new Automation & Inventory Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving innovation and efficiency in our cutting-edge operations. Reporting to the Automated Distribution Centre Manager, you’ll oversee the heart of our automated and integrated materials handling systems, ensuring smooth operations and maximum throughput.

This isn’t just about managing a system — it’s about being the key player between Digital & Technology (D&T) and our Automation Vendor. You’ll be at the forefront of shaping how we operate and continuously improve our systems to tackle challenges head-on and make things run like clockwork. Your expertise will drive the entire product lifecycle, from slotting optimization to troubleshooting system hiccups, ensuring we’re always pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.

In this exciting role, you will be a key player in setting up the DC and shaping its success from the ground up In addition, your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Acting as the most senior controller of SRG national automation solution and system controls and driving all necessary elements to ensure optimal performance.
- Ensuring the integrity of inventory across Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Warehouse Control System (WCS).
- Managing and maintaining accuracy of all inventories while ensuring the slotting algorithm is functioning accurately and in line with the SRG processes.
- Leading the design and implementation of new warehouse processes and workflows to work within automation to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Developing and implementing SKU slotting strategies to optimise warehouse space and improve picking efficiency.

**About You**

We are looking for a passionate individual with expertise in automated and integrated materials handling systems or automation in logistics and warehouse environments.

In addition, you have:

- Experience in warehouse management, inventory control and process improvement.
- Experience with SKU slotting strategies.
- Exposure to systems engineering, process engineering and manufacturing process.
- Exposure to Warehouses / Distribution Centres, preferably with experience in Retail, FMCG or multi-brand SKU range.
- Experience working within an Automated Distribution Centre with operational knowledge of the automation and inventory interdependencies.
