**The Role**

The Credit data lead role supports the Origin data and analytics platform by contributing to the design and development of our credit data model and associated data processes.

The role will work with Credit Portfolio & Insight leads, implementing data-driven strategies, leading to improvement in the performance and efficiency of the Origin credit team. Working with staged data from various source systems, this role will be responsible for the development and coordination of ETL, reporting and analytical solutions within our central, cloud based data and analytics environment.

**Responsibilities & Duties**
- Designing, building and testing data transformation jobs, including the modelling of very large data sets.
- Delivery of credit campaign performance reporting and insights
- Development and maintenance of the credit and collections reporting suite, ensuring data is accurate and timely.
- Identifying and implementing the most efficient ways of performing data transformation tasks using best practice methods and tooling.
- Preparing and maintain documentation such as business requirement documents, design specifications and test cases.
- Working with stakeholders (including data team leads and front-line managers) to understand business re and translate these into technical specifications.
- Reviewing the work of others in the data community and provide feedback and suggestions on areas for improvement and optimisation.
- Contributing and coordinate the design and implementation of our data model and ETL framework.
- Communicating complex information in an easily absorbed manner to business stakeholders who are non-technical.
- Identifying inefficient processes and puts forward ideas for improvement.

**About you**
- Tertiary qualification in an IT related discipline.
- Strong SQL skills, ideally in PostgreSQL.
- Good understanding of data modelling principals, database design and query optimisation.
- Experience orchestrating ETL jobs and a good understanding of ETL frameworks, including error handling.
- Experience documenting ETL processes and data models (e.g entity relationship diagrams).
- Strong analytical and interpretive skills.
