**About this position**

Are you passionate about facilitating and developing programs and events that will impact the lives of children and their families?

The City of Gosnells is looking for a motivated and innovative Families Development Officer to design and deliver a diverse range of programs, events and initiatives that inspire and connect children and families.

In this dynamic role, you will forge strong relationships with local service providers, government agencies and community organisations to bring your vision to life and ensure it resonates across the community.

In addition, you will continuously refine and elevate programs through monitoring and evaluation, making sure they stay fresh, accessible and relevant for our community.

Experience as a leader managing and motivating teams will be highly regarded.

**What we are looking for**

To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate:

- Experience in a similar role providing community-based services and programs for children and families
- Sound knowledge of risk management processes
- Ability to lead and manage a small team
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and build positive working relationships
- Ability to provide accurate and timely written and verbal information

**Essential requirements**
- Current driver's licence
- Qualification in Children's Services or other relevant community services field
- Working with Children Check
- First Aid certificate
