- We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our Medico Legal Services team. This is a part time, fixed-term position based at the Royal Melbourne Hospital City Campus on Grattan Street.
**Your new role**:
- Coordinate the provision of statements and information when requested by the Police and/or Coroner and liaise with the Medico Legal Manager as required
- Assist clinical staff with the process of responding to Police/Coroner requests and ensure that deadlines are met or appropriately negotiated on their behalf
- Review medical records and make decisions on the release of highly sensitive and confidential information in accordance with the _Freedom of Information Act 1982_ (Vic)
- Regularly monitor FOI request deadlines to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and statutory timelines

- A high level of interpersonal skills, including the ability to receive and provide clear and concise written and verbal instructions and information.
- The ability to engage and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- An ability to work autonomously and contribute effectively as a supportive team member.
- An ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
