**About the team**

Analytics & Insights (A&I) is a newly formed team that provides analytics & Insights to run the business of IT within transport. The team develops and provides data visualisations and automated reporting to a range of stakeholders, this involves consolidating data from different data sources with a focus on driving data standards and controls.

The A&I team sits within Technology Enablement which is part of the IT for Transport branch within Corporate Services Division. The key purpose is to ensure we can confidently deliver essential services to our growing community.

**The opportunity**

We currently have a Permanent Full Time opportunity for a Manager Analytics & Insights to join

Analytics & Insights (A&I) team based at Macquarie Park office.

The Manager Analytics & Insights will be responsible for turning data into visuals and meaningful reporting that support "running IT as a Business”.

**What you will be involved in,**
- Collaborate with various teams to identify reporting gaps and elicit requirements with a view to forming an automated solution
- Contribute in the development of A&I roadmap based on the requirements from different stakeholders.
- Deliver high-quality, accurate and timely analytics using industry-standard tools to solve business problems
- Automate, integrate and validate data from a range of sources and improve data quality to deliver insight and metrics to key stakeholders
- Produce high-quality, data-driven recommendations, and strategic decisions by thinking outside the box
- Establish and implement agreed data standards, control, and maintenance process

**About you**

We are looking for a curious individual, who is excited by the challenge of working in a newly formed team, who can identify and communicate meaning through data. Rather than just seeing numbers, you see the overall story and can share that insight with others through visuals.

To be successful in this role you have a solid understanding of BI tools and data visualisation specially Power BI and Tableau.
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology and/or have extensive experience in the IT industry
- You can work collaboratively across multiple functions to drive an outcome
- You have a solid understanding of BI tools and data visualisation (eg. Tableau, Power BI, Excel)
- A demonstrated Analytics & Insights, Data Analyst background
- You can turn large data sets into meaningful stories
- You are outcomes driven rather than task-oriented and feel comfortable with not having all the answers on hand from the start

The salary for this position is TfNSW Grade 9 ($142,178- $159,238) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
