Position Title**:Graduate Development Lead

Position Purpose

Design, coordinate and manage the roll out of National Graduate Programs across Healthscope. This role is responsible for ensuring Healthscope has future-focused, fit-for-purpose graduate programs which incorporate our workforce supply and speciality area needs, and are set-up in line with best practices observed both externally and internally. Specifically, this involves the end-to-end design and management of our 12 month programs, collating and deploying centralised training resources across our hospital network, building and implementing support frameworks, and continuously improving our practices to maximise the graduate experience.

We are currently in a highly competitive, evolving market where what’s worked in the past is no longer effective. This team needs to think outside the box, look outside the industry and be prepared to take risks, learn and adapt quickly to find solutions that will set us apart from the competition and enable us to become famous for developing early careers at Healthscope.

Key Accountabilities

Primary Activities:

- Conduct external research and gain perspectives from various stakeholders on graduate development best-practices
- Support the development and management of the OneHealthscope approach to graduate experience
- Support the development and review of success measures to ensure alignment with wider Healthscope objectives and achievement of anticipated benefits
- Design and manage the national graduate programs, including specialty programs (e.g. ICU, Mental Health, theatres, etc.)
- Manage intake timings and rotation standards across sites
- Design, manage and annually review standardised graduate supporting resources (e.g. ‘welcome to Healthscope’ collateral, orientation material, other collateral)
- Share available external resources with sites (e.g. ANSAT standards)
- Develop and review guidelines for graduate support models including defining role expectations, supernumerary standards, and roster requirements
- Design and deploy a Healthscope ‘Preceptor framework’ including role expectations, responsibilities, standards, resources and training required for Healthscope preceptors
- Develop close working relationships with hospitals to ensure we get the balance right between national consistency and localised flexibility
- Design and update centralised study day content/training modules with the support of SMEs, to be deployed across the network
- Establish and utilise a pool of graduate volunteers to help shape and provide feedback to ideas for improving graduate programs
- Manage and communicate broader Healthscope career opportunities for study and development with site representatives
- Design and deploy end of Graduate program survey to capture experience reflections
- Collate, analyse, and report on relevant metrics/data points on a yearly basis and identify opportunities for improvement
- Report against overall success measures for Graduate Program at a Healthscope level and assess against previous year’s performance
