Reporting directly to the General Manager, People Consulting and Projects, the Head of People Governance & Risk is responsible for ensuring robust governance practices are in place to meet our obligations under the Casino Control Act (NSW and QLD). Additionally, you will play a lead role in establishing and maintaining effective controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard the organisation's people and support its strategic objectives.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification in business/ finance or similar
- 10+ years’ work experience in relevant People, Project Management or Risk field
- Demonstrated ability to create and embed effective governance structures across large teams or sizable operations
- Ability to deliver risk management strategies for the business to drive compliance and strengthen existing processes and controls
- Ability to proactively identify areas of risk, process conflict or non-compliance and action to mitigate risk and ensure continuous improvement
- Ability to advise senior stakeholders to successfully navigate an evolving risk and regulatory landscape
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of, or ability to quickly obtain, an advanced level understanding of laws and regulatory framework as they relate to the organisation, in particular, the Casino Control Acts of NSW and QLD) and associated regulations
- Previous supervisory /consultation experience in financial services preferred
