**Exceptional Urology Service Registrar Opportunity at SA Health's Flinders Medical Centre**

The Flinders Medical Centre Urology Clinic offers a public service for adult urological problems. The clinic also includes a continence service to manage bladder dysfunction, including incontinence. The Urology Service Registrar is a clinical role with an expectation of completing high quality academic research in your non-clinical time. This position is ideally suited to an applicant with an interest in a career in Urology.

**About the role**:
Reporting to the Head of Unit Unit, Urology, you will be responsible for the supervision of RMO's and Interns as directed by the consultants. Some of your duties may involve:

- Participating in the development of clinical guidelines and protocols.
- Ensuring consumers can exercise their rights and responsibilities.
- Acting as a role model and mentor for Medical Students, Resident Medical Officers, and Interns.
- Conducting research and participating in research discussions as required.

**Please note**:As per the SMOEA 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills, and capabilities.

**About you**:

- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor or Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration.
- Minimum of 3 years satisfactory experience as an Intern/Resident Medical Officer in a recognised teaching hospital or equivalent.
- Broad clinical experience and competence in the practice of surgery.
- Experience in clinical education and accreditation activities.
- Enrolment in or demonstrated preparation for a higher degree an advantage.
