Estimating Manager

Due to continued growth, Ferrycarrig have an exciting opportunity for an **Estimating Manager** to join our team.

This position will be based in our Head Office in Botany, Sydney.

Ferrycarrig has made a significant contribution to some of Sydney's largest and most significant infrastructure projects delivered in recent years, including Sydney Light Rail, Parramatta Light Rail, Sydney Metro, Western Sydney Airport, and the New Sydney Fish Markets.

**What you will be doing**
- Estimating & Cost Management: Lead the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates for complex civil engineering projects, ensuring thorough analysis and accurate budgeting.
- Tendering: Oversee the development of competitive tender submissions, working closely with the Estimation Team to deliver high-quality proposals that secure key projects.
- Project Financial Oversight: Manage cost planning, cost control, and value engineering throughout the project lifecycle to maintain financial performance and project margins.
- Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate effective project delivery.
- Team Leadership & Mentoring: Manage and mentor junior estimators, ensuring they are supported in their professional development and aligned with company best practice

**Is this job for me**
- Must have first principle estimating skillset in complex civil infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated Experience of managing a team of 5-8 estimators and bid coordinators.
- Estimating Manager in Tier 1-Tier 3 Mixed Utilities Contracting Environment
- Expert in Water sector, civil construction, transport infrastructure and mixed-use development
- Ability to assess risk and measure quantities, our method of estimating is using excel and not build soft or other programmes.
- Adept planning, programming and construction sequencing skills
- Demonstrated experience of first principals' assessment and evaluation of tender documents.
- Demonstrated experience of bidding various Contract types and procurement models including:

- GC 21 Construct Only Lump Sum
- GC21 D & C Lump Sum
- GC21 Alliance Contract
- NEC Contracts Option A & Option C
- Adaptable and Innovative to bring business competitiveness
- Minimum 10years of demonstrated local experience
