Concreative specialises in custom architectural concrete solutions for high-end residential and commercial clients. We work with Australia’s leading architects, designers and construction managers to solve complex construction problems with the following services:
- Precast and insitu concrete solutions
- Microcement rendering
- Concrete polishing
- Cosmetic remedial work
As a consequence of the complexity of problems we are tasked to solve, we end up pushing the parameters of what concrete can do. This means we are often creating industry firsts and new ways of working with concrete. The quality of work we produce is our reputation, which is underpinned by the highly talented team of uniquely skilled trades professionals.
**About the Role**
Due to growth, we are looking for an accomplished and experienced construction project manager, who is looking to step up to a construction operations manager role. This person will play a pivotal role in shaping the business operations, streamlining construction projects, coordinating and managing resources, subcontractors, and suppliers to deliver high-quality construction projects.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee and manage day-to-day operations.
- Coordinate with team leaders, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project goals are met.
- Develop and implement construction schedules and plans.
- Manage the enquiry, estimating, project management and construction budgets.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Resolve construction-related issues and conflicts.
- Review and approve subcontractor and supplier invoices.
- Prepare and present progress reports to senior management.
- Develop and implement construction best practices.
**Role Purpose**
The overall purpose of the Operations Manager is to manage the day-to-day running of ConCreative including managing resources such as people, equipment, and materials to ensure that the business runs smoothly and systematically.
**Objectives**
The overall objective of the Operations Manager is to ensure the business reaches its strategic objectives and goals. Specifically:
- Ensure the timely completion of construction projects.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Manage construction costs to meet budget targets.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to achieve project goals.
- Implement efficient construction practices to improve productivity.
**Responsibilities & Duties**
**Business Operations**
Responsible for the operations of ConCreative, including the compliance and adherence to systems, and standard operating procedures.
- Responsible for the improvement of the client lifecycle and process with ConCreative; lead; estimation and quote; project management; post project evaluation
- Responsibility for forward planning and scheduling of staff around projects. Identifying capacity issues and creating sustainable solutions for consistent delivery of projects.
- Able to maintain and set internal quality standards for internal and external teams
**Client & Project Management**
Responsible for the Client management as the POC to oversee and manage a “integrated” service approach to the client that exceeds their expectations instils total confidence in the client regarding the quality, budget, timeframes and logistics of their projects
- Accountable for the estimating, pricing and management of project budgets.
- Accountable for project delivery, along with project review of cost vs budget and client feedback to improve future projects
- Work with the client to unearth and clearly define the needs and ambition of the project with key stakeholders of the business.
- Understand client processes and timelines and integrate these with ConCreative project management process
- Provides an effective bridge between the client and ConCreative, building relationships with each level of the client and managing relationships efficiently to ensure confidence in delivery of their project.
- Responsible for identifying and making recommendations for adapting the ConCreatrive project management process in consultation with the managing director.
- Ensures clients communications are up-to-date (estimates, contact reports, timelines, billing, wips, feedback etc)
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices
**People & Management**
Responsible for the hiring, leadership, development and management of the Concreative teams. Including, but not limited to:
- Accountable for the performance of the team through regular 1-2-1 catch ups, goal and KPI setting that links to the overall business objectives.
- Responsible for the career development and progression of the team, including annual performance appraisals and supporting training and development needs.
- Responsible for the engagement and culture of the department inline with the broader culture.
