6 months contract opportunity with a view of extension available for a Configuration Officer.

**Your new company**
This recognisable Government department currently looking for a customer focused IT professional to join their team in the IT Services role. They are hardworking and enthusiastic team who provide exceptional service to their customers.

**Your new role**
As a Configuration Officer you will be responsible for software auditing, licensing and tracking. The position would also contribute to the procurement of IT hardware and software.

**What you'll need to succeed**

You will need previous experience in IT assets and management space.
- Previous experience in software licensing, auditing and tracking
- Previous experience with procurement of IT hardware and software
- Previous experience with Service Desk and service management tool
- Well-developed interpersonal skills

Proven ability to work effectively as a member of a specialist team, under limited direction, exercising judgement and delegated authority in selecting methods and techniques to resolve issues, determine, plan and organise teamwork priorities to ensure team goals are achieved while maintaining accuracy, integrity and confidentiality.

Your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Coordinating and providing expert advice on ICT asset life cycle processes.
- Monitor, analyse and plan hardware procurement and approval processes
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationship with key stakeholders
- Coordinate a range of administrative functions that support asset management operations
