As we transition to cleaner forms of energy, the challenge facing the energy industry in the coming decades is considerable. Environmental professionals are vital in managing risks, preventing harm, and achieving our environmental ambition of safeguarding and valuing nature by being a part of the solution to global challenges across the lifecycle of our products.

As a Technical Assistant you will be supporting communications, information, and data management, ensuring that key learnings and opportunities are effectively retained and communicated. You will be a direct member of our Environment East team, a team of professionals who are passionate about protecting the East Production Unit’s license to operate, achieving Shell’s Net Zero and Respecting Nature ambitions, and part of the Australia HSSE community.

You are expected to role model inclusive behaviors where different views and perspectives are encouraged and valued, build trust, intervene respectfully, enhance discipline credibility and balance life with work.

- Supporting non-records disposal, SharePoint compliance and management and supporting document control and sign-off.
- Supporting budgets, invoices and purchase orders and requisitions in SAP for mandatory environment scope, and reconciling purchases and expenses.
- Setting up contractor agreements, setting up templates and loading documents into eB.
- Coordinating and loading environmental monitoring data into various systems and databases.
- Supporting Continuous Improvement tracking.
- Planning and coordinating environment input into the QGC HSSE Clinics and Respecting Nature training across Shell Australia.
- Supporting the HSSE management assistant to plan and coordinate visits from global Shell environment stakeholders and assurers.
- Support the administration of Assist and Assure training, including co-ordination of training sessions through both the Workday and Asset specific nomination process, responding to daily correspondence from both the Learning Event Management System (LEMS) as well as attendees, updating of training registers / Workday attendance records post course delivery and liaise with Asset’s learning teams to verify Contractor attendance & record keeping.

**What we need from you?**

When it comes to nurturing collaborative stakeholder relations, your interpersonal and influencing people skills will make a difference. You will inspire people to make changes that will have a direct impact on our success. Furthermore, you will have:

- Deep commitment to HSSE performance and personal accountability
- Ability to work effectively and interact with different multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate complex data succinctly; strong interpersonal skills, with a willingness to proactively connect stakeholders across and external to the business

- Skilled in action tracking and oversight of perceived or actual increase in risk in the eyes of the regulator
- Attention to detail and proven ability to listen to understand requirements and clearly articulate these to other stakeholders to provide seamless resolutions of issues
- Coordination skills - the ability to manage, assess and provide information and content to support the business
