**Description**:
- Providing operationally independent oversight and challenge of risk-taking activities across the HUB24 Group business operations.
- Providing operationally independent assurance as to the effective operation of key controls (including as to whether controls satisfy relevant regulatory compliance requirements), through the systematic and risk-based testing, review, and reporting on key risk and compliance controls across the HUB24 business.
- Formulating and recommending control solutions and improvements by expertly guiding and advising business stakeholders
- Monitoring the effective operation of the HUB24 Group Risk Management Framework, risk culture, and control environment, and report on the findings and recommendations.
- Proactively identifying control gap and corrective actions that are required to maintain an effective risk and compliance program for the HUB24 Group.
- Maintaining the annual controls assurance plan and program, ensuring integration with the Internal Audit Plan, and defining key milestones and critical path.
- Supporting the Senior Manager Controls Assurance in developing and implementing systems and processes for efficient and routine controls assurance activities
- Establishing and maintaining documentation such as registers and advisory documentation to support the Controls Assurance function of the second line Risk & Compliance team.
- Monitoring incidents, breaches, and complaints relating to the control environment and providing periodic analysis and reporting.
- Supporting the Line 1 business teams to implement and maintain effective operational controls including through assisting with the development and maintenance of business Operational Compliance Plans up to date, and preparation for compliance audits.
- Managing and coordinating Controls Assurance updates, information, and data to key stakeholders and input into relevant Risk & Compliance reports to Boards and Committees.
**Skills and Experiences**:
- Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, or business.
- Accreditation through GRCI/ RMIA considered favourably.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in controls assurance/audit/similar.
- Demonstrated experience in a controls assurance role with an Australian financial services institution, preferably within wealth management.
- Sound knowledge of the current regulatory regimes applicable to the HUB24 Group business operations.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret information.
- Demonstrated ability to produce accurate work, meeting tight deadlines and to prioritise own and others work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to engage with management, business, and other team members.
