The Controls Assurance Manager will be supporting the Non-Financial Risk agenda in ensuring controls are working effectively across the International Premier and Wealth Business (IWPB) business. This role will be responsible for delivering reviews set in the IWPB Controls Assurance Plan as well as monitoring IWPB’s controls in line with the controls assurance framework. Requirements include high attention to detail, as well as strong written and verbal communication.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support the business by conducting reviews, executing the controls assurance program, and testing the effectiveness of the control environment across WPB.
- Conducting controls assurance activities across IWPB, including thematic reviews, and ensuring the implementation of controls across the business.
- Proactively identify and raise awareness for any gaps in controls to line manager and senior management through data analysis.
- Conduct remediation activities relating to control weaknesses across IWPB.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, which will require you to engage with all lines of defence, including internal and external audit.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Uphold HSBC’s values and behaviours on a daily basis.
- Support the implementation of Controls Assurance matters.
- Maintain effective oversight to quality/standards of controls across IWPB.
- Support the effectiveness and consistency of controls testing across IWPB and address any gaps in the completion of end-to-end risk and control activities.
- Support the control environment through early identification of any control gaps and robust controls testing.
Requirements**Requirements**:

- Solid Controls Assurance and/or Audit expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or related field
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to cultivate strong controls assurance practices
- Experience with Information Technology and / or Third-Party Controls desired
