Ongoing growth across our national footprint, we’re seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead and evolve our Perth-based Accounts Payable team through the next phase of business optimisation and efficiencies.

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Accounts Payable Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Accounts Payable function and change initiatives. This is a pivotal role, responsible for overseeing accurate and timely supplier payments, management, managing a diverse set of stakeholders, key metrics reporting, driving continuous process improvement, supporting team development, and contributing to ongoing systems integration initiatives.

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, procurement, operational stakeholders, IT and finance to ensure operational efficiency, system optimisation and compliance across a dynamic, multi-entity environment.

**Role responsibilities**:

- Manage and oversee the Accounts Payable team
- Responsible for team service levels and driving a customer service culture in Accounts Payable. This includes being the key escalation contact for Accounts Payable across the CGA business,
- Oversee Converga, our paperless Accounts Payable system
- Managing business expense systems, including SAP Concur and the auditing tool Appzen
- Maintain robust supplier data, including new supplier setup and variation, supplier termination, rebates, payment terms and cost center management
- Managing Supply Chain Finance platforms with the banks and suppliers
- Preparing management reports and reporting Accounts Payable metrics to management
- Challenging and upholding key metrics across Accounts Payable
- Facilitating projects to create efficiency and integration between our systems and workflow integration
- Uplifting the quality of the team to ensure timely processing
- Lead system integration and process improvement
- Lead the transition of an Offshore to Onshore operational model for Accounts Payable
- Continually improving key financial controls and related policies and processes

- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with key stakeholders - build relationships whilst analysing and challenging.
- Support the business in ensuring that the needs of the stakeholders are met
- Operate in accordance with Compass values and actively support and participate in Compass culture.

**Experience, Qualifications and Competency Requirements**
- 5 + years experience in a supervisory/managerial role leading an Accounts Payable team
- Strong verbal and written communication, plus strong analytical and influencing skills
- Attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to meet deadlines
- Proactive approach and a high level of autonomy and accountability
- Strong coordination and teamwork and a strong emphasis on striving for continuous improvements
- Demonstrated experience with system enhancements, integrations and process redesign
- Demonstrated project and change management skills plus Strong problem-solving skills
- Preferred experience in Converga, Oracle and SAP Concur
- Advanced computer skills, particularly with PowerPoint and Excel
