**About the Role**:
As a HSEQ Business Partner, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with the senior leadership team to make a real impact within the business. You will actively contribute to the effectiveness of the HSEQ Management system, plans and initiatives to continually improve systems and operational processes aligned with ISO 45001, ISO 9001, & ISO 14001.

This is a true partnership opportunity where you will be assigned a region to collaborate with key State Managers and leaders to achieve HSEQ business outcomes. The role will be based out of our Meadowbrook branch with travel required from time to time.

**Position Description**:
**Key Accountabilities**:

- Building trusting relationships with site leaders and key stakeholders through initiating conversations about safety impacts and best practice through a hands-on collaborative approach
- Building capability by coaching business leaders and Managers on the full suite of HSEQ related topics
- Ensuring all HSE state regulations are complied with, initiating process reviews and continuous improvement activities
- Partnering with the leadership teams in preparing site HSEQ audits; providing recommendations and driving ownership for the site action plan; and supporting the leadership team to close out corrective actions
- Injury Management - Investigate incidents and patterns identified as appropriate and oversee the effective implementation of the program
- Brief and support site managers and leaders on HSEQ issues and drive performance on key matters
- Ensure HSEQ objectives and priorities are developed for planned implementation and deployed operationally
- Provide HSEQ support to the business and ensure that the HSEQ presence is highly visible across business locations as required
- Role model expected HSEQ behaviours
- Conduct regular assessments and audits for operational effectiveness
- Facilitate effective implementation of the HSEQ Management system
- Investigate and report on incidents, dangerous occurrences, ill health and near misses
- Maintain up to date knowledge of legislation and best practices across the industry

**Skills/ Selection Criteria (qualifications & experience)**:
**Essential**
- Minimum Certificate IV in HSEQ or related discipline
- More than 3 years’ experience in HSEQ risk management in a complex muti-faceted environment
- Demonstrated experience achieving outcomes within the civil construction industry
- Demonstrated experience in management system auditing including ISO 45001, ISO 9001, & ISO 14001 certification requirements
- Strong working knowledge of HSEQ Legislation
- Current C-class Driver’s licence
- Exceptional communications skills with experience of engaging effectively across a wide range of stakeholders
- The ability to prioritise tasks in a dynamic and fast paced environment with a high level of resilience

**Desirable**
- Strong interpersonal skills and business partnering/influencing skills
- ICAM or Taproot incident investigation training
- Trade Certificate Qualification
- Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
