The roleAs the Manager, Planning and Governance, you will lead and manage departmental operational planning and governance enhancement initiatives in partnership with key executives and directors to support business improvement outcomes. Other key responsibilities include:

- Manage the identification, development and integration of operational planning and reporting systems and processes to ensure alignment with strategic directions.
- Support and maintain effective professional planning and governance related networks across the department and Queensland Health.
- Identify and manage department-wide governance enhancement projects and provide outstanding advice and support across the department and Queensland Health.
- Manage achievement of governance outcomes by supporting the Director Governance develop strategic vision.
- Establish and maintain key relationships with senior staff to enable a culture of performance accountability and enhance corporate planning, compliance, and corporate delegation programs and initiatives.

**The successful personYou will have**:

- Demonstrated leadership and management ability.
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to achieve improvements in corporate planning and governance.
- Demonstrated high level skills in communication, consultation and negotiation and the ability to lead a team and work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to supervise and manage staff in line with quality human resource management practices.
