**About the role**:
Metro Trains Melbourne is looking for our next group of trainees who are eager to start an exciting career with Metro Trains as a Trainee Train Driver. Train drivers perform an important front-line role within Metro Trains Melbourne operating and working over a 24/7 rotating roster. As a member of Train Services, our Train Drivers perform duties that are both stimulating and challenging whilst providing a high reward. Employment begins with 38-52 week paid training with our Metro Academy.

- Are available to work shifts outside normal working hours, including weekends and public holidays

As a Trainee Train Driver, your main priority will be to learn how to operate a variety of MTM’s trains in a safe, efficient, and reliable manner across the Metro network.

Upon successful completion of the traineeship, you will be required to work in a full-time capacity at one the following Depots based on business needs:

- Flinders Street
- North Melbourne
- Watergardens
- Calder Park
- Dandenong
- Frankston
- Pakenham East
