IFF is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Operations team as **Production Manager.**

**Your Focus**

As Production Manager, you will primarily function of the role is leading a team in three departments comprising of Liquids Compounding, Spray Dry and Reaction Flavors Technologies.

You are an experienced 'hands on' leader who knows how to motivate, train and develop a total of 20 operators and team leaders across 3 shifts to achieve the daily operational requirements of Safety, Quality, Performance and foster a culture of continuous improvement. This role also sits on the Operations Leadership Team and is a key driver of site culture and improvement activity.

This role is based in Melbourne, Australia and will report to Operations Manager, Oceania.

**How you will contribute and lead**
- Accountable for the production performance.
- Effective leadership of a large team within a high-volume batch manufacturing environment.
- Ensure KPIs are understood, met and exceeded.
- Production reporting.
- Control workflow troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve baseline performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
- Achieve operational objectives in compliance with safety and quality standards.

**Job Requirements**:
**What you will need to be successful**
- Tertiary qualified in Chemical Engineering, Food Technology or similar, or equivalent experience in FMCG.
- A demonstrated record of success in ideally Food, Food Ingredient or similar FMCG production operations.
- Proven experience managing and leading a team.
- Demonstrated practical experience and a thorough understanding of GMP and HACCP
- A strong safety focuses.
- Highly developed communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to perform well under competing priorities.
- Experience working collaboratively with employee union to achieve common goals.
- Performance management experience.
- Leadership experience with Six Sigma, Continuous Improvements or Lean. Manufacturing techniques will be highly regarded.
