**About Recess**
We’re Recess - a small sandwich shop with big ambitions. Our focus is simple: quality food, made fast, at a price that makes sense.

With a second store on the horizon, we’re looking for someone to take the lead day-to-day in Surry Hills and keep the shop and kitchen running smoothly.

**The Role**
This role is the glue that holds the shop together. You’ll be the steady presence on the floor - the face of Recess for customers, making sure service flows, shelves stay stocked, and the team stays in sync.

**Some things you’ll do**:

- Act as front of house - welcoming customers, keeping service smooth, and handling issues with professionalism.
- Run the floor like it’s yours - happy customers, well-stocked shelves, and a team that feels supported.
- Keep an eye on stock - flagging what’s needed so we’re never caught short.
- Support rostering and ordering.
- Handle the little hiccups (customer complaints, questions, feedback) with calm and good humour.
- Set the tone - lead by example and make sure the shop feels like a good place to be for both customers and staff.

**About You**
- 3+ years in hospo (ideally café or QSR).
- Previous FOH or supervisory experience - you’re used to being the point person in a venue.
- Reliable, friendly, and approachable with both customers and staff.
- Bonus if you can make a solid latte (or want to learn).

**What’s in it for you**
- $60k-$70k + super (depending on experience).

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
