**The Role**
We have a unique opportunity for a Health Records Co-ordinator to join the HIO. Joint Health command is looking for a diligent individual who will assist in the co-ordination of Health Information Requests.

This person will also have excellent communication skills and assist in the service delivery of health information to both members and third parties in accordance with relevant legislation, Defence policy and processes.

The Health Records Co-ordinator will be responsible for:

- Accountable for the HIO HR inbox, including prompt response to health information requests, allocation of work, resources and tasks, setting work prioritise and management of workflows.
- Development of SOPs and provide leadership, mentoring, training and advice to a small team of Health Records Officers.
- Ensure relevant extant Legislative, Policies and Processes are updated and followed.
- Capture and record work throughout for reporting purposes
- Ensure appropriate governance and archival of health information release and quality assurance activities
- Other administration tasks within HIO including Content Management of HIO Sharepoint site and records management.

Joint Health Command (JHC) enables a healthy, ready, and supported Force from enlistment through to transition, through the delivery of reliable, resilient, affordable and best practice health services for Defence members. JHC provides a joint health effect to enable ADF capability.

The Health Information Office (HIO) within JHC was established in September 2019 to manage health information governance, health record extracts and data provision, as well as driving digital health transformation in Defence through advanced analytics.

The HIO serves a critical function and service in providing the Surgeon General of the Australian Defence Force (SGADF), commanders and clinicians with health system insights that help to inform, improve member care and service delivery efficiencies.

They will engage in complex problem solving and issues management and will be responsible for the coordination and prioritisation of health information requests received.

They are accountable to ensure they and the team have knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks and policy requirements.

They will have a high level of written and verbal communication skills and be able to work in a fast paced environment, be flexible and prioritise tasks.
