The Assistant Director Social Work is responsible for delivering an advanced level of quality Social Work services and clinical expertise across sites to assist the Director of Social Work in the operational and professional management of Social Workers employed in West Moreton Health (WMH).
The role will have professional governance leadership responsibilities for clinical practice standards, clinical service development and ensuring work is undertaken in relation to policies and procedures across Social Work services.
As a leader and advocate for Social Work services and Allied Health services there is a requirement to support the delivery of safe and efficient patient centred care aligned with WMH, state, and national health priorities.
About you
- Advanced level knowledge in Social Work clinical practice standards in a health context and comprehensive clinical knowledge, expertise and skill in the provision of evidence based social work interventions and services
- Leadership in the implementation of professional governance to support best practice standards and experience in the supervision of social work practice, workforce education and research
- Ability to lead quality improvement initiatives and change management processes to meet strategic service goals
- Ability to manage operational responsibilities including knowledge of human resource and financial cost centre management processes
- Expert level consultancy, advocacy, negotiation and conflict resolution skills and an ability to effectively communicate and sustain productive stakeholder relationships and partnerships
- based principles to complex and diverse client groups, across the continuum of care, with mínimal supervision
**Mandatory Requirements**:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
