**About the Role**

Alina Collective is seeking a passionate and caring Disability Support Worker to join our team in Geelong. This is a casual Maternity Leave Cover position, with the potential to turn into a permanent casual position. As per client preference, female Support Workers preferred. Shifts range between 7am - 9pm, Monday - Sundays.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Providing support to one of our clients in their home and community, to encourage their independence and enhance their quality of life.
- Tasks include (but are not limited to): personal care, domestic duties, meal preparation, medication administration, community access
- Looking after the health, safety and wellbeing of our participant
- Understanding reporting requirements and ensuring incidents are reported promptly and accurately
- Attend all mandatory training sessions, complete any required online training, and willingness to ensure any worker compliance certificates remain valid
- Complying with all internal policies and procedures as well as the NDIS Code of Conduct

**About You**
- Certificate III in Individual Support or currently enrolled in course
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Employee Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Medication Assistance certificate
- Manual Handling certificate
- Current Driver’s Licence and access to reliable vehicle
- Flexible availability to cover staff leave is desirable
- Due to personal care responsibilities of the Support Worker, our client would prefer a female Support Worker.
- Due to behaviours of concern, an individual with experience with disability or mental health either in a professional or personal capacity, would be advantageous.
- Due to communication barriers, high proficiency in spoken English is required.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: From $41.76 per hour

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
- Weekend availability
