**Overview**:
Newly Created Line 1 Head of Risk role, reporting directly into General Manager.

This strategic senior role in the financial services industry is responsible for overseeing remuneration policies and practices, managing regulatory reporting, and maintaining accountability statements.

The responsibilities also include managing the Office of the FAR, monitoring compliance with accountability obligations, and providing advice to executives on accountability matters. This role will have Executive and Board accountabilities, and gives someone full reigns to put their stamp on this newly created function.

**Experience desired**:

- Prior experience leading a function and strong people leadership skills, in a risk management capacity.
- Prior experience/exposure to Financial Accountability (or previous BEAR) obligations
- Understanding of all core risk management processes and frameworks, including risk profiling, controls management/testing, and obligations review
- Experience in setting up frameworks and processes for newly established line 1 risk teams
- Understanding of CPS511 remuneration governance requirements are highly beneficial, but not mandatory.
- Relevant tertiary or post-graduate degree in Human Resources or Business discipline
- Strong knowledge and implementation of Governance practices for regulated organisations
