Your new role

An exciting opportunity for a Risk & Governance Manager - Group Investments to join QBE’s global Investments & Treasury Risk and Governance Team.

Reporting to the Head of Investments & Treasury Risk and Governance, you will be an integral part of risk identification, management and mitigation for QBE’s market facing functions; Group Investments (GI) and Group Treasury (GT). You will lead and drive the implementation and ongoing development of a robust risk culture and risk management framework by partnering with the Group Head Office and raising awareness across the organisation.

You will also;- Key risk contact for GT teams and primary support for GI and GT teams located in Group Head Office (GHO), Australian Pacific (AUSPAC), International (EO), North America (incl. Blue Ocean & Equator Re) across time zones.- Drive, manage and support Line 1 risk and governance forums, 3LoD risk and governance meetings.- Manage and govern policy and process documents; Establish, review, and refresh from a risk lens.- Drive and manage risk and control advisory. Initiate, manage, and support risk and control activities.- Manage and support incident, issue, and action management through to closure.- Risk advise, support, and monitor risk and control in relation to new and change initiatives, such as new product, process, due diligence, system change and project.- Establish, improve, and monitor risk parameters and provide risk-based data analytics and solution-based reporting.- Initiate, manage and support risk and control assessment, monitoring and supervision activities including audit and assurance, Risk & Controls Self-Assessments (RCSA), Risk Maturity Self-Assessments (RMSA), and business continuity management (BCM).- Be a risk champion in building and engaging Three Lines of Defence (3LoD), uplift Line 1 risk maturity, training and operational excellence, promote and influence a proactive and collaborative risk culture.

About you

To be successful as a Risk & Governance Manager - Group Investments you will have proven experience with developing and implementing effective policies and practices. With a collaborative style and approach, you will bring senior leaders on the journey and raise financial risk awareness across the organisation.

You will also have;- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related discipline- Professional qualifications such as audit, CFA, CPA and others relevant is preferred.-
- Managing relationships and influencing outcomes in large and complex organisations- Experience in performing and providing effective review and analysis- The ability to produce high quality outputs whilst working to tight deadlines and under pressure- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities and the ability to work through complex situations and tasks- Proven experience of building strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
