Forensicare is the statutory agency responsible for the provision of adult forensic mental health services across Victoria.

Position based at Ravenhall Completed in 2017, the new medium-security men's prison is located at Ravenhall Correctional Centre in Melbourne's west, providing world-class forensic mental health services in Victoria in a purpose-built state of the art facility developed to international best practice standards.

**About the Role**:

- The FMH Outpatient Services provide specialist mental health assessment, intervention and support to Prisoners accommodated in mainstream and protection communities within Ravenhall Correctional Centre, who are experiencing, or suspected of experiencing, mental illness.
- The Program Manager has responsibility and accountability for providing high level management and direction for the overall operation of the outpatient services including planning, development of human, physical and financial resources, and overseeing the delivery of multi-disciplinary services.
- The Program Manager will provide leadership and line management/supervision to staff across the outpatient services.
- This position engages with other Ravenhall Correctional Centre managers and service providers across Justice Health, Forensicare, GEO custodial and program staff, to improve and maintain the Program and service’s management, clinical, educational and support activities.

**Duties**:

- Provide leadership and management of the FMH Outpatient Services at Ravenhall Correctional Centre
- Develop, implement and evaluate the FMH Outpatient Service Business Plan, ensuring strong links and contribution to the organisation’s Corporate Strategic Plan
- Promote team work that recognises the contribution of each discipline and individual in the delivery of Recovery orientated patient care.
- Implement effective communication systems with other services including GEO, Correct Care Australasia, Justice Health and other relevant stakeholders

**About You**:

- Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health or equivalent, and current registration with AHPRA
- Significant post registration experience in a similar role.
- Ability to prioritise and manage access to service
- Commitment to modelling the organisation’s mission, vision and values in all aspects of interaction with staff, colleagues, patients and external stakeholders

**What you need**:
Nursing
- Postgraduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent.
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulations Agency (AHPRA).Occupational Therapy
- Approved degree in Occupational Therapy recognised for membership of Occupational Therapy Australia - Australian Association of Occupational Therapists.
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulations Agency (AHPRA).Psychology
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited course or equivalent, or a Doctorate degree in Forensic Psychology from an APS accredited course or equivalent.
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulations Agency (AHPRA).Social Work
- Approved degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
