**Who are we looking for?**

Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a Centre Manager, Digital Media Research Centre to join School of Communication, Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice, Academic Division.

The Centre Manager of the DMRC provides high level strategic and operational support to the Centre Director. The Centre Manager is responsible for leading the operational functions within the Centre, ensuring the delivery of effective and efficient professional services in support of the Centre's goals. The Centre Manager will ensure that the Centre Office is responsive and agile and the culture is professional, proactive and positive, with staff willing to work across organisational boundaries to achieve the University and the Centre's objectives.

The Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice is led by the Executive Dean and the Faculty Executive team comprising the Executive Dean, Deputy Dean, Heads of School, Associate Dean Learning and Teaching, Associate Dean Research, and Faculty Operations Manager.
The faculty is comprised of the following Schools under the leadership of the respective Head of School:

- School of Communication
- School of Creative Practice
- School of Design
- School of Early Childhood and Inclusive Education
- School of Teacher Education and Leadership
- School of Justice

In addition, specialist Faculty professional functions include
- Faculty Operations: Budget and Planning, School Administration Support, Space, Equipment and Assets, and Technical Services teams under the leadership of the Faculty Operations Manager
- Office of the Deputy Dean: Engagement, and Student Specialist Support under the leadership of the Deputy Dean
- Office of the Executive Dean under the leadership of the Executive Dean

**What you need to succeed**

You will demonstrate:
1. Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to completion of postgraduate qualifications.

2. Demonstrated ability to undertake high level strategic and operational planning and policy development in a research environment.

3. Demonstrated ability to initiate and maintain strong, credible relationships and collaborations with internal and external strategic stakeholders and partners.

5. Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills including the ability to represent the Centre at high level meetings and events; prepare clear and concise reports and complex correspondence.

6. Experience of liaising with QUT units, such as ORS, HR and Finance, to effectively facilitate and provide relevant support to the Centre.
