**Accountabilities include**:
- Lead a small team of engineers and program advisors in the day-to-day management of allotted programs and projects in QTRIP.
- Undertake technical assessment of funding submissions and coordination of TMR feedback to other State or Australian Government agencies, such as assessment of Bridge Renewal Program, Heavy Vehicle Safety and Productivity Package, Safety Programs and other allotted programs
- Manage assigned federally funded projects, including review and progression of Project Proposal Reports and other documentation; project cash flows and milestone payments; liaison with officers in relevant departments of the Australian Government; and recovery of relevant costs from projects under management.
- Monitor and report on performance of assigned programs including budgets, schedules, benefits risks/issues, project deliverables and achievements.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including federal Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications and Arts (DITRDCA), TMR district and regional project teams, TMR program managers and Program Boards, Steering Committees, Working Groups and other governance bodies.
- Provide high quality advice to senior management on program funding issues and risks; and initiate corrective action as required.
- Represent Director (State Network Programs) as required.
- Actively participate in performance conversations to build and support a culture of performance improvement.
This role reports to the Director (State Network Programs) and has three direct reports.
