**The Role**
Reporting to the Manager of the Network Planning team you will be responsible for assisting with the planning of investment in the supply chain and commercial evaluation of projects and ventures to determine those projects that will add the most value to the organisation. In addition, you will thrive in an environment where you can research and develop internal thought leadership to shape longer-term strategic decisions for the Business. You wil be partnering with the C-suite in the Business
Key Duties of the role include:

- Assisting in presenting to and consulting with senior management and the Board in respect to significant decisions (projects and capital investments).
- Obtain and develop information and measurements that support commercial business recommendations.
- Prepare benchmark analysis, summarise competitor performance and provide strategic insights from related industries.
- Support strategic planning of the Network and assist in enabling the delivery of the group-wide tactical plan through informed capital investment in network infrastruture.
- Assist with the development of processes, tools, templates and expertise in the team.
- Manage smaller-scale projects, and support operations in managing larger projects. This includes running and facilitating workshops of multi-disciplinary teams.
- Support long term planning of capital expenditure.
- Prepare and review detailed financial models
- Undertake thorough financial analysis, valuation and risk assessments
- Communicate recommendations or findings via Business case and Presentation
- Conduct and coordinate financial and commercial due diligence and assessment
- Analyse whether expenditure has the potential to create value, and opportunities to create efficiencies and cost savings are maximised.

**Qualifications, Skills & Experience**
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within either a professional service, management consulting, corporate strategy & planning or investment banking environment.
- Experience in supporting commercial planning and assessments relating to projects (capital expenditure and performance improvements), including modelling, preparing business cases and Board presentations.
- Capacity to create and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
