**Your new company**
Large oil & gas company specialising in the storage and handling of bulk liquid fuels.

**Your new role**
The Permit Coordinator responsibilities include assisting with managing the safety of work conducted by the maintenance & project delivery partner and to assist the Safety Advisor to verify the effectiveness of safety barriers.

The role carries out permit to work process and ensures that all aspects of our control of work procedures are in place before allowing work to commence.

The position requires a strong focus on safety leadership, and solid modelling and recognition of positive safety behaviours to help drive a strong and consistent safety culture on site.
The Safety Coordinator assists in ensuring that safe and reliable operations are maintained, and the needs of customers are met in a timely manner with due regard to safety, efficiency, and cost.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Proven ability to identify the steps required to complete a task safely. E.g. analysis of critical steps, evaluation of risks and development of controls to mitigate these risks.
- Experience in a bulk fuel terminals or refinery operations.
- Experience in working with 3rd party contractors in an operational environment.
- An experienced communicator, able to communicate with influence and respect to external and internal stakeholders and manage a diverse range of relationships.
- IT skills - Outlook, MS Office suite, Microsoft Teams, MYOSH, Mainpac.
- Experience in maintenance standards, quality accreditation procedures, tankship discharge and flammable liquids compliance AS1940.
- Control of work, and work permitting experience in flammable and combustible storage facilities.
- Must be prepared to follow any government mandates that relate to the requirements in safely carrying out this role, in particular relating to any emergency management or public health directives such as mandatory vaccination.

**What you'll get in return**
This is a long term contract role that has potential to sign-over permanently to the client, You will be working Monday to Friday Based in Kwinana.
