**The Role**

Are you looking for a new role where you can be at the forefront of our ever-evolving renewable energy technologies?

We are looking for that someone who can provide support to the Engineering and Design division within Pacific Energy Renewables (PER). As the Electrical Designer they will be responsible for all the design/drafting for Electrical work packages and their associated drawings as well as ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and on schedule.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Meet design and drafting assignments on time and within budget
- Provide support to the Engineering and Design Division and Project Team
- Ensure compliance of drawings against Client and PER Drafting standards
- Prepare & create engineering drawings in accordance with associated checking procedure
- Liaise with consultants and external vendors
- Red-line engineering drawings and package up work packs for client projects
- Design and draft electrical drawings from vendor information and sketches
- Design termination drawings from schematics
- Design schematics from single line diagram
- Update project drawing registers
- Liaise with engineers, electricians, and supervisors on drawings
- Compile supporting documentation for all stages of projects
- Identify and report changes to project scope
- Ensure compliance with Pacific Energy Renewables OHSE, policies and procedures
- Review of technical electrical drawing

**About You**:

- 5 + years Electrical Design Drafting
- Minimum 2 years of Electrical Drafting for Tier 1 companies
- Minimum Diploma of Engineering Technology (Electrical) or an Electrical Tradesperson who has completed a Drafting course with above experience
- Formal drafting training and qualification in AutoCAD
- Must be able to comprehend Engineering drawings for English, numeracy, and literacy
- High level of communication skills both verbally and written
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Excel and Word
- High level of understanding of work priorities, time management and safety in design

- Design and Drafting Manager
