**The Role**
An APS 5 Base Management Officer is accountable under limited direction to perform complex base management operations, base planning and coordination work within an integrated workforce.

An APS 5 Base Management Officer is accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to their area of responsibility. They will interpret and provide advice within the base management function in accordance with legislation, policy and procedures.

The APS 5 Base Support Officer will engage and communicate with stakeholders to identify, respond and provide advice on issues to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes. They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.

An APS 5 Base Management Officer will coordinate and contribute to the work of the team consistent to a work plan and provide advice and assistance on methods of task completion to team members. They may be a team coach or supervise a team and be accountable to set work priorities, allocate work, and manage workflows and performance.

**About our Team**
The Base Management Team monitors and responds to base service delivery issues, coordinates the development of whole of base plans across Defence support sites and reviews and monitors base agreements to ensure currency and consistency with service delivery requirements.

The team works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to assure prescribed product and services standards are met within agreed time frames as well as build and sustain effective relationships with team members and actively participate in team work and group activities.

The team also evaluates activities and processes for compliance with legislation, regulation or standards, design and recommend solutions to whole of base operation issues impacting on the achievement of desired outcomes.

The team also assess risks and provide guidance in relation to risk management strategies and develops, rehearses and maintains whole of base plans and instructions to achieve business objectives.

The Base Management Team at RAAF Base Amberley is seeking to engage a person with a depth of customer service experience and a positive and inclusive approach to working as part of a team.

The Base Management Team works closely with customers and service delivery partners to ensure essential services are delivered, and the estate is maintained to a high standard. We work within a framework of legislation, established principles, work practices and procedures.
