Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.
Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the 'Courts Group'.

Funds in Court (FIC) supports the Senior Master, who holds funds, investments, and assets, principally for people with a disability. FIC works to ensure the safe and effective investment of clients' funds at low cost, and to use funds in a manner that responds to clients' diverse needs and aspirations. FIC is a self-funded, not-for-profit division of the Court that also manages funds paid into Court pending the outcome of a proceeding, as dispute monies and security for costs, and pursuant to the Trustee Act 1958 (Vic).
**About the Role**
The Legal Support Officer is responsible for providing specialised administrative support to the Legal Services area of Funds in Court.
This role is part of the Legal Administration Team reporting to the Legal Services Manager. The role supports the Solicitor to the Senior Master and legal officers, as well as assisting the Legal Administration Team with payment in and payment out at 18 processes as needed.
Duties and reponsibilities include:
- Using specialised administration expertise to support legal officers responsible for to payment in and out of funds into Common Fund No. 1 and Common Fund No. 2 processes.
- Contributing to overall team performance and team ethos by demonstrating responsiveness, accountability, integrity, respect and leadership and to maintain a safe and healthy workplace. This includes participating within team and Legal Services meetings and actively contributing to process improvements and projects.
- Reviewing and authenticating orders as needed, and attending to the proper recording of each order, and any supporting documentation, in the Senior Master's Trust Management System.
**About You**
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of Disability Services would be highly regarded.
- Sound understanding of administrative functions and office practices.
- Strong computer skills with MS Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook.
