We’re searching for a Quality Assurance Lead to join our team and lead the ongoing development of the manufacturing quality management system and continuous improvement outcomes for our coating facility.

This role will be autonomous in its management of the quality function in the facility, operating in both a strategic and tactical manner to deliver outcomes on a day to day and longer term basis. Collaboration with the rest of the Manufacturing team will be essential and management of external stakeholders including auditors and customers will be a regular requirement.

**About the role**:

- Own and continually improve our Quality Management System
- Lead the coordination of internal audit requirements and ensure compliance to all required accreditations and standards including ISO9001:2015 and Australia Packaging Covenant
- Ensure relevant functions contribute and maintain the required standards for both internal and external audit programs
- Operate as an integral SME in the Manufacturing facility contributing as a Quality risk and control lead in respect to the machine capability and process qualification
- Quickly identify manufacturing quality issues and embed new ways of working that lead to product quality improvements, sustained customer confidence and market growth opportunities
- Work with Machine Operators, Maintenance and Reliability representatives to undertaken RCA, FMEA and other investigative processes - utilising in-depth knowledge of product and process
- Track, record, and report to management on performance of the Quality Management System, recommending actions and improvements to drive positive outcomes
- Manage requirements of product specific testing and compliance, including but not limited to, NSF, Fire Retardancy, FSC and Direct Food Contact Manufacturing.
- Perform inspection of incoming materials, ensuring conformance to specifications - manage non-conformance processes as required
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and manage critical to quality metrics
- Maintain accuracy and timely inspection/calibration of monitoring and measuring equipment
- Maintain knowledge of standards, regulations/laws, issues, and news with respect to industry and products equipment

- Degree qualified (or above) in Science or Engineering
- Qualification in Lean and Six Sigma and/or Project Management (preferred)
- Current and extensive knowledge of manufacturing best practice
- Understanding and ability to conduct quality analysis (including FMEA)
- Experience in a HACCP certified environment (desirable)
- Self-motivation with the ability to multitask and work both autonomously and as part of a team
- Highly developed leadership, interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
