**Help us deliver like never before**
As our Mail Sorting Officer, you’ll be working at a Delivery Centre where you’ll be responsible for manually sorting mail in preparation for delivery the next day. You’ll play a key role in supporting our Posties, who provide a vital service to our local community every single day. You’ll be working together with a friendly team of like-minded people, and your community relies on you, and it doesn’t get better than that
**You’ll be**
- Working efficiently individually or in a team to manually sort mail into logical street, number and into an appropriate round.
- Lifting and handling heavy parcels and bags of mail regularly.
- Required to use manual pallet jacks and stackers to receive and despatch large volume of mail.
- Provided initial and ongoing training with senior team members who are committed to engage and take part in your professional development.
About you
- You're flexible with working additional hours if required.
- You've a great memory, excellent attention to detail and can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly.
- Experience operating manual pallet jacks or stackers is advantageous but not mandatory.
**How we’ll deliver for you**
- Pay rate for this role is $32.34ph for the first 3 months, then $36.99ph once fully trained plus 12% superannuation

**Training and Support**
At Australia Post, our training and induction programs offer support to ensure we set you up for success. You will attend an induction in your first week with our Learning and Development Team followed by a site-specific induction at your respective facility and additional online learning modules. As a new employee, you will receive one-on-one coaching, followed by regular check-ins with your Manager and Trainer to track progress, provide feedback, and discuss any support needed. We assess development at the end of each month during your probationary period, with adjustments or additional training as required. The program includes site-specific inductions and hands-on training, building employees up to full delivery capacity within six weeks. Our approach is flexible, ensuring long-term success and continuous growth.
