- **POSITION OVERVIEW**:
- The Finance and Business Intelligence (FBI) Branch is led by the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) who reports to the Chief Executive Officer of Canberra Health Services. The FBI Branch is responsible for the development and maintenance of budgets, financial management, for providing strong operational finance and performance reporting analysis across the health service, and the management of clinical records. The five sub-units within the FBI branch include the Financial Management Unit, Revenue and Financial Services, Patients Accounts, Business Intelligence and Health Information Services.- Health Information Services (HIS) provides a range of services including clinical record scanning and management, clinical coding and casemix data generation, patient identifier maintenance, clinical record forms design and managing access to personal health information to facilitate patient care and follow-up, for research, quality improvement, education, and hospital management purposes.-
- This position is responsible for managing and overseeing the creation and distribution of clinical forms. This involves managing a small team to meet deliverables. This position requires an in-depth working knowledge Australian Standards AS2828:2019 and of all procedures related to document clinical record management and legislation around privacy.- Management responsibilities include staff selection, training, performance management, workflow and allocation of resources to meet service delivery requirements and compliance with the organisations risk management and clinical and corporate governance.**DUTIES**:
Under limited direction of the Director HIS you will perform the day-to-day operations. You will:
1. Ensure forms comply with AS2828-2019 standards and Canberra Health Services policy and standard operating procedures

2. Lead and direct the business of Clinical Forms Review Panel and facilitate critical feedback on forms content to align with clinical best practice and policy

3. In consultation with senior management, the Clinical Forms Review Panel and other recognised stakeholders; evaluate hard copy and electronic forms and work towards standardisation, reducing duplication and increasing digitsation

4. Facilitate the design and creation of templates/artwork for both hard copy and electronic clinical record forms, ensuring all forms align with current clinical best practice and policy

5. Continual evaluation of the Clinical Records Forms Register effectiveness across Canberra Health Services including interpreting reports and determining clinical forms relevance

6. Liaise with external print suppliers including correct artwork specifications, interpreting stock on hand reports and monitoring supply levels.

7. Undertake other duties appropriate to this level of classification which contribute to the operation of the organisation
