**About the role**

Australian Panels (Borg Manufacturing) are currently looking to recruit a Foresty Production Manager to join our team based in Oberon, NSW.

This is an exciting opportunity as the position will be able to design and build a small state of the art nursery from the ground up. This nursery will primarily provide _Pinus radiata_ seedlings for use internally in our expanding estate with opportunities to grow additional species and explore other markets where suitable.

Reporting to the Wood Resource Manager, your new position will be responsible the overall organisation and direction of our production activities. In this role you will be responsible for:

- Managing and coordinating the development of the site, overseeing installation of new plant and equipment.
- Providing guidance and feedback as to best practice, including research into production methods, and recommending and implementing initiatives.
- Managing production output and costs and adjusting processes and resources to minimise costs and produce between 2-3million seedlings per annum upon completion of the nursery build.
- Supervising and directing all nursery staff.
- Monitoring performance of all nursery staff.
- Ensuring the workplace is safe including identifying ways to make the workplace safer.
- Coordinating Health and Safety requirements for Compliance and Auditing.

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday. Salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 per annum.

You will ideally have the following attributes:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Excellent people management skills.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Enthusiasm and Energy.

As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination which includes functional, audiometric, drug and alcohol testing.
